What if “you have hurt my feelings” or “you make me so angry/sad/happy/etc.” are untruths that we have learned?
What if these are just convenient ways to perpetuate the expectations that others behave in a certain way, that they mould themselves into something pleasing and agreeable?
What if we can rediscover our own potential to choose how we feel regardless of the circumstances?
What if the only thing we can do to help others feel better is to be so fully present that they too step into the realisation that they alone have the power to help themselves?
