What would you feel like if you were really in love? How much would you long to lay your eyes on that beautiful face in the morning? How would you touch that body? How tenderly would you caress that skin, those scars, all those “imperfections”? How softly would you speak and what gentle words would you choose to express the affection? What tantalising foods would you feed those lips? How would you move and stand as you felt the love flowing through you? What would you forgive and allow? How would you console and what would you do to make everything all right again?
How would you do all that – if you really fell in love with yourself, if you were your own beloved?
